New Zealand

When Abel Tasman
Saw the new sea land
He said it looked like a land
In Holland
So New Zealand he called it
The Emerald Isles of the South Pacific
Now the Maoris who lived there
Were the sons of Maui
It¡¯s just that the white man
Thought they said Maori
It was the Missionaries
Who came to New Zealand first
Bringing with them Christianity
And the English language
The missionaries taught the Maoris
About the Most High
And how to read and write
And their minds soon became enlightened
So the Maoris quickly
Declared independence
Back in 1835
Expecting the British Royalty
To accept their flag
The Royalty must have been surprised
Because the Aborigines easily died
These Maoris were esteemed wise
For natives barely civilised
So the British sent their ship of the Admiralty
Hoisted their mast with the Union Jack upon it
Which Hone Heke cut down times three
A gesture of defiance towards the Admiralty
So the British created a Treaty of Waitangi
Two years later Fitzroy declared Terra Nullius
Then came soldiers, judges and legislation
To fill the white man¡¯s ship¡¯s with production
The Maoris didn¡¯t want the English Flag
The tri colours of the Union Jack
The red, white and blue of that nation
Or to suffer under the English Revolution
Today New Zealanders are called kiwis
And a few understand who the Most High is
Some Maoris say he was Tu who defeated Maui
In the war of heaven in Maori Mythology
When the All Black glory walks out for rugby
They sing their anthem to the God of Nations
And do the haka to their war god Maui
So who do you think has more power
The All Blacks carry the weight of the nation
Like Braveheart¡¯s men fighting Longshanks
When the Scottish stopped the English invasions
When farming and war went hand in hand
Perhaps kiwis should become the first
To reform the international banking system
Instead of paying our taxes to pay their usury
We could create our own currency
Out of thin air ? like bankers do
No more foreign owned central reserve bank
Created by the Bank of England
Set up in the colonies in the 1930¡¯s
As America was placed into bankruptcy
Kiwis could pay less taxes
Until they dropped a bomb on us
Then prophecy would be complete
And the world would hate those who did it
But anyway I¡¯m just another kiwi joker
You don¡¯t need to take me too seriously
I¡¯m not really a red revolutionary
I¡¯m just a protester from just lately
It sort of makes sense don¡¯t you think
Since we are the furtherest from Jerusalem
Which really could be our planet¡¯s Middle Earth
Not Central Otago like the Lord of the Rings
I don¡¯t know how the end will come
But in the meantime we could do something
Like be a light to the other nations
All the way back to Jerusalem
Then the smallest of nations
Could become the greatest
Then the last will be the first
Like in the quest of our birth
